NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The AIR MILES® Carousel of Dreams game is open to Canadian resident AIR MILES collectors who are 16 years of age or older, and who have downloaded the AIR MILES mobile app. See Rule 2, below.

1.   Definitions:

(a) Sponsor: AIR MILES Loyalty Inc. doing business as AIR MILES or the AIR MILES Reward Program (the “Sponsor”), located at 100 King Street West, 21st Floor, Toronto ON M5X 1A1.

(b) Indemnitees: Sponsor, each Participating Partner (as defined in Rule 6), any other AIR MILES partner or sponsor or prize provider, and any of the respective affiliates, directors, officers, or employees of any of the foregoing (collectively the "Indemnitees").

2. Eligibility: The AIR MILES Carousel of Dreams game (the “Promotion”) is open only to Canadian resident AIR MILES collectors (“Collectors”) who are 16 years of age or older at the time of entry, and who have downloaded the AIR MILES mobile app, except employees, representatives and agents of the Sponsor or of BMO Bank of Montreal, each of their affiliates, and their respective advertising and marketing agencies, Promotion administrators, judges and persons domiciled with any of the above. The Collector is the individual in whose name the collector number has been established or, in the case of a business collector, the principal associated with the business collector number, as determined by the Sponsor. Residence, for the purposes of entry eligibility and regional prize distribution, will be determined by the mailing address associated with the collector number. If you are not already an AIR MILES Collector, you may become one by enrolling in the AIR MILES Reward Program online at www.airmiles.ca. By enrolling to become an AIR MILES Collector, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program as amended from time to time. Each Collector meeting the criteria described in this Rule 2 is referred to as an "Eligible Collector".

If you do not already have the AIR MILES app, you will need to visit the App store, the Play Store, or the Galaxy Store and follow the online instructions to download it. The AIR MILES app is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices only. The AIR MILES app is free to download. Additional carrier data fees may apply.

An iPhone, iPad or Android device, online access and an email account are required to participate in this Promotion. Many public libraries, retail businesses and others offer free access to devices and computers, and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free email accounts.

3.   Agreement to Official Rules: The Promotion consists of an instant win game (the “Game”) and a contest (the “Contest”). By participating in the Promotion, you fully and unconditionally agree to and accept the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and its Promotion administrators and judges, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Promotion.

4.   Promotion Period: The Promotion begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on January 25, 2024, and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on February 15, 2024 (“Promotion Period”). For the purposes of the Promotion, a “day” is the period between 12:00 a.m. ET and 11:59 p.m. ET. Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Promotion.

5. How to Enter. No purchase necessary: During the Promotion Period, Eligible Collectors log into the AIR MILES Reward Program’s mobile application (the “AIR MILES App”) and follow the online instructions to navigate to the Promotion page. Log into the AIR MILES App each day during the Promotion Period to get i) entries into the Contest, as outlined in Rule 10 below, and ii) game plays (collectively “Game Plays”) into the Game as set out below:

a)     All Eligible Collectors: Get one automatic game play released, as outlined in Rule 7 below, each day when you log into the AIR MILES App (“Automatic Game Play”); and

b)     Eligible Collectors who hold an eligible BMO AIR MILES credit card: Get one additional automatic game play released, as outlined in Rule 7 below, each day when they log into the AIR MILES App (see Rule 5(a) above) if they hold an eligible BMO AIR MILES credit card (“Additional Automatic Game Play”)  as follows:

An Eligible Collector who holds an approved and eligible BMO®† AIR MILES credit card by January 19, 2024.

Automatic Game Plays and Additional Automatic Game Plays will be released to Eligible Collector each day at the time they log into the AIR MILES App. Once released, the Automatic Game Plays and Additional Automatic Game Plays will be available to be played for the remainder of that day. At the end of each day, Automatic Game Plays and Additional Automatic Game Plays will expire, regardless of if they have been played or not.

6. Bonus Game Plays: From 12:00 a.m. ET on January 25, 2024, to 11:59 p.m. ET on February 10, 2024 (“Bonus Game Play Entry Period”), Eligible Collectors can earn bonus game plays (each a “Bonus Game Play” and collectively “Bonus Game Plays”), as outlined in Rule 7 below and to a maximum of fifty (50) Bonus Game Plays during the Bonus Game Play Entry Period, as follows:

i) Eligible Collector will earn one (1) Bonus Game Play for each eligible purchase they make during the Bonus Game Play Entry Period at the participating partners (“Participating Partners”) listed below that earns a minimum of 1 Reward Mile in that single transaction, which is subsequently posted to that collector’s AIR MILES account. Visit airmiles.ca for each Participating Partner’s AIR MILES offer and applicable terms and conditions. Presenting/swiping your AIR MILES card or collector number at the time of purchase at Participating Partners is typically required to earn a Mile.

All determinations as to whether or not an eligible purchase at a CLO Participating Brand has been completed during the Promotion Period in accordance with these Official Rules will be made by the Sponsor and shall be considered final and binding without right of appeal.

ii) Eligible Collector will earn one (1) Bonus Game Play for each redemption transaction they make during the Bonus Game Play Entry Period for any AIR MILES reward that uses a minimum of 1 Reward Mile, and the redemption is subsequently posted in the Eligible Collector’s AIR MILES account. Collectors can redeem Miles in-store or online with AIR MILES Cash, online through airmiles.ca, or by contacting the call centre at 1-888-247-6453. Redemptions made for donations are not considered eligible redemptions and are excluded for the purposes of determining the receipt of the additional game play.

Bonus Game Plays will not be released until the eligible earn and/or redemption transactions are posted to the Eligible Collector’s AIR MILES account. Earned and redeemed Miles can take up to 72 hours from the time of the eligible transaction to post to a collector’s account, which can result in a corresponding delay in the release of the applicable Bonus Game Play. Once the eligible transaction is posted to the collector account, the Bonus Game Play will be released and will be available to be played until February 15, 2024. All Bonus Game Plays will be released by February 15, 2024, and all Game Plays will expire at the end of the Promotion Period. All determinations as to whether or not an eligible purchase or redemption has been completed and/or an eligible Mile has been earned/posted to or withdrawn from an Eligible Collector’s AIR MILES account during the Bonus Game Play Entry Period in accordance with these Official Rules will be made by the Sponsor and shall be considered final and binding without right of appeal.

Limit of one (1) Automatic Game Play and one (1) Additional Automatic Game Play per collector number per day during the Promotion Period. There is a limit of fifty (50) Bonus Game Plays that can be earned per collector number during the Bonus Game Play Entry Period.

7. How to Play the Game:  During the Promotion Period, Eligible Collectors log into the AIR MILES App. In the “Today’s Game” section of the Promotion page, tap the “Play Now” button to advance to the Game page where the released Automatic Game Play for that day, together with your Additional Automatic Game Play for that day, if applicable, as outlined in Rule 5 above, and any released Bonus Game Plays, as outlined in Rule 6 above, will be presented. Play each released Game Play to earn an entry into the Contest, as outlined in Rule 10 below, and reveal one (1) guaranteed instant win game prize, as outlined in Rule 8 below. For each Game Play, four (4) suitcase bag images will be presented; tap on one (1) of the presented suitcase bag images to indicate your selection (“Unpacked Suitcase”) and to reveal an Instant Win Prize that you will be eligible to win (“Unpacked Instant Win Prize”). In the event that an Eligible Collector has more than one released Game Play per day, they can continue to play their subsequent Game Plays (unpack their subsequent suitcase bags) by tapping one (1) additional suitcase bag image for each released Game Play available.

8.  Instant Win Prizes: 3,044,080 random, computer-generated pre-determined selection times will be created, one (1) time for each of the instant win prizes (each an “Instant Win Prize”) listed in the table below. Each released Game Play that is played by an Eligible Collector will reveal exactly one (1) Instant Win Prize, in accordance with the process outlined in this paragraph. Prizes will be distributed on a regional basis as follows: Region 1: National, Region 2: Atlantic, Region 3: Newfoundland Only, Region 4: Ontario Only, Region 5: Quebec Only, Region 6: Alberta Only, Region 7: Manitoba Only, Region 8: Nova Scotia Only, Region 9: National excluding Quebec, Region 10: BC, SK, ON, AB, MB, Region 11: BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, TB, Region 12: BC, ON, PE, AB, NB, MB, NS, NL, Region 13: QC, BC, TB, SK, ON, PE, NB, AB, MB, NS, NL, Region 14: National excluding NL and Region 15: ON, TB, BC, AB. Eligible Collectors are only eligible to win Instant Win Prizes in the National Region, and in the Region in which they reside, as applicable. If a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, they forfeit all Instant Win Prizes.

Any difference between the stated approximate retail value and the actual value of any Instant Win Prize will not be awarded. The number of Instant Win Prizes available to be won will be reduced as they are won during the Promotion Period.

All Unpacked Instant Win Prizes will be available to be claimed through the “My Unpacked Prizes” page in the AIR MILES App until February 25, 2024. Any Instant Win Prizes that are not claimed by the date outlined in the Terms and Conditions of the unique prize will be forfeited. After February 25, 2024, the page displaying the Unpacked Instant Win Prizes will expire from the game interface and will no longer be available for viewing.

‡ Airline Travel Voucher Prize value is expressed in Canadian dollars (“CDN”). All elements of the Airline Travel Voucher Prize are subject to additional terms and conditions as set out by the issuer of the Airline Travel Voucher. An Airline Travel Voucher Prize is not transferable or convertible to cash, or refundable, and must be accepted as awarded. In the case of loss, theft, mutilation, alteration or unauthorized use, an Airline Travel Voucher Prize will not be reimbursed or replaced. An Airline Travel Voucher Prize cannot be used for purchases of goods and services prohibited by law.

∆ The approximate retail value of an AIR MILES Reward Miles prize depends on the chosen method of redemption, available reward options at the time of redemption, and the set preference between AIR MILES Cash and AIR MILES Dream accounts. If redeemed with AIR MILES Cash, 95 Cash Miles can be used in-store for $10 towards purchases at participating AIR MILES partners or 95 Cash Miles can be used online for eVouchers for $10 worth of value at participating reward partners. If redeemed for flights, value depends on the current marketplace price of the chosen flight, which will vary.  Winner must pay applicable taxes, related transportation fees, governmental levies, excess baggage, and other non-ticket costs.  The value of AIR MILES Reward Miles used for non-flight reward options depends on reward options in effect at the time of redemption.  AIR MILES Reward Miles prize is subject to the Terms and Conditions of the AIR MILES Reward Program as amended from time to time.  AIR MILES Reward Miles prize is not transferable or convertible to cash and must be accepted as awarded.

The odds of winning a specific Instant Win Prize depends on the time at which you open your suitcase bag to play for the prize in relation to the randomly pre-determined selection times, as well as your region and the number of released and Unpacked Suitcases by all Eligible Collectors and the times when the Eligible Collectors unpacked those suitcase bags to reveal an Instant Win Prize. 

The number of each type of Instant Win Prize available to an Eligible Collector is dependent on the number of Instant Win Prizes available in the region in which they reside, some regions (Region 1: National, Region 2: Atlantic, Region 3: Newfoundland Only, Region 4: Ontario Only, Region 5: Quebec Only, Region 6: Alberta Only, Region 7: Manitoba Only, Region 8: Nova Scotia Only, Region 9: National excluding Quebec, Region 10: BC, SK, ON, AB, MB, Region 11: BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, TB, Region 12: BC, ON, PE, AB, NB, MB, NS, NL, Region 13: QC, BC, TB, SK, ON, PE, NB, AB, MB, NS, NL, Region 14: National excluding NL and Region 15: ON, TB, BC, AB) offering a combination of regional and national Instant Win Prizes. For the National Instant Win Prizes, there is a 1 in 4 chance to win in each of the following categories: Dream Reward, Gift Card, Partner Offer, and Reward Miles, and in the regions outlined above, there is a 1 in 4 chance to win in each of the following categories: Dream Reward, Gift Card, Partner Offer and Reward Miles. Once a category runs out of Instant Win Prizes the chance exponentially increases based on the categories remaining for an increased chance at winning a prize from each category.

To ensure an even distribution of prizes throughout the Promotion Period, prizes that have a quantity of 1000 or less will be divided by the number of days present within the contest and assigned as such within the time period of prize distributions.

9. Verification of Instant Win Game Prize Winners: All potential winners are subject to verification by Sponsor or Promotion administrators. You are not a winner of any prize, even if the Game should so indicate, unless and until your eligibility and the potential winning play has been verified and entrant has been notified that verification is complete. Sponsor will not accept screen shots or other evidence of winning in lieu of its validation process. Any play that occurs after the system has failed for any reason is deemed a defective play, is void, and will not be honoured. Receiving an Instant Win Prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. Upon first game play, each potential winner will be required to correctly answer and submit, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question before the Instant Win Prize will be revealed. Each potential winner of an Instant Win Prize in the Dream Rewards and Gift Cards Prize Categories, and any Reward Miles Prize over 100 Reward Miles must sign and return to the Sponsor within one (1) day of receipt a Prize Acknowledgement and Release Form, in form satisfactory to Sponsor, which includes a standard declaration of compliance with the Official Rules and Release Form in order to be awarded a Prize. Failure to sign and return the Prize Acknowledgement and Release Form within one (1) day of receipt will result in forfeiture of the Prize.

10. The Contest. No Purchase Necessary: Log into the AIR MILES App each day during the Promotion Period to get entries into the Contest, as outlined below:

During the Promotion Period, get one (1) entry into the Contest for:

• every Unpacked Suitcase connected to an Automatic Game Play, as outlined in Rule 5 above;
• every Unpacked Suitcase connected to an Additional Automatic Game Play, as outlined in Rule 5 above; and
• every Unpacked Suitcase connected to an earned Bonus Game Play, as outlined in Rule 6 above (“Bonus Entry Option A”) OR every submission received in accordance with the No Purchase Necessary alternative entry option outlined below (“Bonus Entry Option B”).

Bonus Entry Option B (No Purchase Necessary): To receive one (1) Contest entry without making a purchase in accordance with Bonus Entry Option A, an Eligible Collector must submit their first and last name, complete mailing address including city, province, postal code, daytime phone number (including area code), email address and AIR MILES collector number, plus a fifty (50) word or more original essay describing “What I would do if I won $100,000” by email to: Airmiles+Carouselofdreams@promotionsolutions.net (with “AIR MILES Carousel of Dreams” in the subject line of the email). The email must be received by the Contest Sponsor no later than 11:59:59 pm E.T. on February 15, 2024.

Limit of one (1) use of Bonus Entry Option B per collector number per day, to a maximum of fifty (50) uses per collector number during the Contest Period. Each Eligible Collector may only earn a maximum of fifty (50) Contest entries combined as between Bonus Entry Option A and Bonus Entry Option B.

The number of Contest entries per collector number is limited to the number of Game Plays released in connection to that collector number during the entire Promotion Period (subject to the procedure outlined above regarding Bonus Entry Option B). Contest entries earned from Bonus Entry Option B apply to the Contest only and do not include Game Plays for the Game.

11. Contest Prize:  There is a total of one (1) Contest prize (the “Contest Prize”) of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000) available to be won.

The odds of winning the Contest Prize will depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.

A random draw for the Contest Prize will be held on March 26, 2024, at 2:00 PM ET, in Toronto, Ontario, from among all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period, by an independent judging organization whose decisions will be final and binding. To be declared the Contest Prize winner, the selected entrant must be an Eligible Collector and must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by the Sponsor, or its representatives, and otherwise comply with the Official Rules. The Sponsor or its representatives will make reasonable attempts to contact the selected entrant at the email address and/or telephone number(s) recorded in respect to their collector number and/or indicated on the email entry, as the case may be. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted or has not responded within two (2) days of the date when contact was first attempted, is not eligible in accordance with these Official Rules, does not correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question or otherwise comply with these Official Rules, then the selected entrant is disqualified and will not receive the Contest Prize and another entrant may be selected. A selected entrant must sign and return to the Sponsor within two (2) days of receipt a Prize Acknowledgement Form, in form satisfactory to Contest Sponsor, which includes a standard declaration of compliance with the Official Rules and release form in order to be awarded the Prize. Failure to sign and return the Prize Acknowledgement and Release Form within two (2) days of receipt will result in forfeiture of the Prize. If any potential Winner is under the age of majority in their province or territory of residence, a parent or legal guardian of the potential Winner will be required to sign or submit the Prize Acknowledgement and Release Form on behalf of their minor child and the Contest Prize will be delivered to the minor. If the parent or legal guardian of the potential Contest Prize Winner does not sign or submit the Prize Acknowledgement and Release Form, the potential Contest Prize Winner will not be awarded the Contest Prize.

12. Prizes – General

All elements of the Prizes are not transferable or convertible to cash, or refundable, and must be accepted as awarded. Prize details shall be at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Where applicable, Contest Prize elements will be awarded by the Sponsor based on the mailing address and/or email address associated with the collector number of a confirmed winner. In the case of loss, theft, mutilation, alteration or unauthorized use, the Contest Prize and its elements will not be reimbursed or replaced. Except as expressly stated herein, a confirmed winner is responsible for all applicable taxes, fees, and surcharges, if any, in respect to their Contest Prize and/or the use or redemption thereof.

No compensation will be provided for failure by a confirmed winner to accept a Contest Prize as awarded. Sponsor gives no representations, warranties, or conditions, whether express or implied, in respect to the Contest Prize or any elements of the Contest Prize.

If for any reason there are more Prizes available than Unpacked Suitcases during the Promotion Period, the remaining Prizes will not be awarded. If for any reason, including error on the part of the Sponsor, more Prizes are claimed than are intended to be awarded as described in these Official Rules, only the number and type of Prizes contemplated by these Official Rules will be awarded.  Upon the discovery of such error, all prize fulfillment will cease and, if the stated number of Prizes available to be won in the Promotion have not already been awarded, a random drawing from among all verified prize claims received and not yet fulfilled by the time of discovery of the error will take place and will be held at 2:00 p.m. ET on May 10, 2024 in Toronto, Ontario, to select potential winners to receive the remaining number of Prizes available to be won in the Promotion. In no event will more than the number of Prizes contemplated by these Official Rules be awarded.

13. General

The Sponsor reserves the right to use the winner’s name, city of residence, comments, likeness, photograph, voice, and statements without further compensation, in connection with any advertising and publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsor in relation to the Promotion or the AIR MILES Reward Program, in any media throughout the world in perpetuity. The first name or initials and city name of winner may also be posted on www.airmiles.ca.

The Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to substitute a prize with one of equal or greater value, or to cancel, terminate, amend and/or suspend the Promotion without prior notice at any time and for any reason including, without limitation, if viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, attempts to disrupt the Promotion or other causes beyond the Sponsor’s control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper play or conduct of the Promotion. In no event will the Sponsor be liable for more prizes (in quantity or amount) than that specified in the Official Rules.

The Contest Sponsor is not responsible for any technical, hardware, software, or telephone failures of any kind, or lost or unavailable network connections or garbled or deleted computer network transmissions, or failed, incomplete, garbled, misdirected or lost entries or inaccurate capture of entry or earning or use of Miles information, even if it limits the ability to participate in the Promotion. Any entry or game play that occurs after a system failure is deemed a defective entry and is void and will not be honoured. The Sponsor is not responsible for any injury or damage to persons (including the winner) or property arising from the Promotion or Prize, or which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from accessing or transmitting any material from the mobile application regardless of whether the material was prepared by the Sponsor or a third party or is connected to the application by hyperlink. All entries must be received during the Promotion Period. All entries and prize claims are subject to verification by Sponsor and will be void if not obtained through legitimate channels, or if not original, or if obtained other than in compliance with these Official Rules. The Sponsor will not accept screen shots or other evidence of winning or entry in lieu of its verification process. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned.

Online entries and game plays must be made only by the individual entrant, using their original, manual keystrokes. Use of any automated system including robotic or form-filling software to enter or participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification of all entries by anyone using such assistance.

The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Promotion or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Promotion may be a violation of criminal and civil law and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. The Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.

By entering this Promotion, each entrant expressly consents to the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives storing, sharing and using the personal information submitted with their entry only for the purpose of administering the Promotion and in accordance with these Official Rules and the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy (available at: https://www.airmiles.ca/arrow/PrivacyPolicy). This section does not limit any other consent that an individual may provide the Sponsor or others in relation to the collection, use and/or disclosure of their personal information.

The Promotion is subject to all applicable laws and is void where prohibited. In the event that any provision of these Official Rules shall be determined to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions of these Official Rules shall be unaffected and shall remain in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

In the event of a discrepancy between the French and the English versions of these Official Rules, the English version will prevail.

The Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Apple Inc. or Google LLC. By entering this Promotion, you understand that you are providing your information to the Sponsor and the third parties it has engaged to assist it in administering the Promotion and not to Apple Inc. or Google LLC. The information you provide will only be used in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy. The owners and operators of Apple Inc. and Google LLC are completely released from all liability by each entrant in this Promotion. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Promotion must be directed to the Sponsor and not to Apple Inc. or Google LLC.

The names of the winners may be obtained by sending a request with a self-addressed, postage-stamped envelope to “Attention: “Dept. 100, 2024 AIR MILES® Carousel of Dreams, Winner List Request, Box 9500 Lakeshore West PO, Oakville, ON L6K 0G4,” until July 23, 2024. The first name or initials and city name of winner may also be posted on www.airmiles.ca.
